I'm not a big believer in HAVING to go through the "5 stages of grief" or that there are only 5 or any such nonsense because miracles and God are BIGGER than that. However, as humans we have emotions and the "5 stages" are ones that are very common for all of us, not only in grief but just in general. What I've noticed is that a lot of people are going through this since the election, just as a lot of people are thrilled and are celebrating.
And of course it's not a straight line. We go in and out and around and up and down when we are on the journey to acceptance. Wherever you are, is fine. It's not a race. I DO like to feel good though so I keep on going for acceptance and Peace no matter what the situation or subject because when I argue with reality I lose, but only 100% of the time, so I like to keep on moving toward PEACE and JOY. Denial, rage and depression tend to lead me to make very bad decisions so I don't like to spend much time there at all. So, I write it all out and give it to Jesus to sort out and then say HOW I WANT TO FEEL to set my gps.
